LCES Empty Bowls Art Show
Lake City Elementary School held it’s annual Empty Bowls Art Show and Meal to benefit Second Harvest on Feb. 15. More than $2,200 was raised for this very worthy organization. Special thanks to Jan Threadgill, LCES art teacher, for all her work organizing the event. The following students created winning bowls. Third Grade winners were rst place, Lee Goins; second place, Garrett Riggs; and honorable mention, Carlos Flores. Fourth Grade winners were first place, Jesse Vowell; second place, Caden Idles; and honorable mention, Ross Johnson. Fifth Grade winners were rst place, Cheyenne Hargett; second place, Clara Tomlinson, and honorable mention, Jordan Simonds. The LCES teachers created bowls for a silent auction.
