Barker, Copeland, Lynch have early lead


With only early voting and absentee votes in at press time, in the race for County Mayor, Steve Emert was leading Terry Frank by 2,997 votes to 2,934.

As results trickled in, the mayors’ race was too close to call.

Regina Copeland was winning Trustee with 3,747 over Scott Gillenwaters with 1,131

votes, and Scott Burton with 1,876 votes.

Russell Barker was leading the Sheriff’s race with 2,841 early and absentee votes over Lewis Ridenour, 1,992 votes, and Mark Whaley with 853 votes.

County Clerk early and absentee ballots showed Jeff Cole with an early lead with 4,300 votes to Leesa Arowood, 1,523 votes.

Tim Shelton with 4,159 votes was leading Michael Foster with 1,504 early and absentee votes in the race for the Register of Deeds race.

Rex Lynch had 3,644 early and absentee votes to William Jones’ 1,561 early and absentee votes in the Circuit Court Clerk race.

Unopposed Democratic candidaet for sheriff Mark Lucas tallied 451 early and absentee votes.

Democratic candisate for Trustee, Ebony Cpashaw, tallied 433.
