Obituary

Linda Sue Radford

Linda Sue Radford, 70, of Claxton, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Sunday April 21, 2024, at home with her family by her side.

Linda was born Feb. 4, 1954, to Myrtle Mae and Luther Cleavenger in Newport, Tennessee.

Linda loved her family and church more than anything else.

On May 13, 1971, she married the love of her life, Billy Byrd Radford. The two were each other’s lifelong love and friends — a love that is often found only in books. They were blessed with three children, Donna, Teresa and Billy Joe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle and Luther Cleavenger; her siblings, Billy Cleavenger, Jack, Cleavenger, Gene Cleavenger, Lucy Stuart, and Daisy Shelton.

She is survived by her husband, Billy B. Radford; her children, Donna (Tony) Lauderdale, Teresa (Rusty)Mendenhall, and Billy (Susan) Radford.

She had eight grandchildren Kristie Radford, Steve Blackburn, Diana Arp, Billy Mack Jr., Matthew Radford, Joshua Radford, Caleb Radford, and Landon Radford and two great-grandchildren Kaylie Ellison and Keyanah Radford.

Linda was a member of Knob Road Missionary Baptist Church of Maryville, Tennessee. She was saved and baptized there in 2005. Linda loved her church, and if she couldn’t go to church at Knob Road, she didn’t want to go at all.

She will be remembered for the love she had for her husband, children and grandchildren. She had a one-of-a-kind personality that was loving, fiery and loyal. She will be greatly missed.

Family will receive friends Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Woodhaven Funeral Home. An internment service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Woodhaven Memorial Garden Cemetery, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell.
