Degrees awarded to county students
Middle Tennessee State University congratulates the 2,650-plus students who received their degrees at its spring 2023 commencement ceremonies.
MTSU’s two-day commencement event in May split the members of the first Class of 2023 into four Murphy Center ceremonies to receive their degrees.
Local students receiving their degrees included:
• Emma Beard, Adrian Lara, Taylor Hamrick, Dylan Lee, and Spencer Simmons of Clinton;
• Paul Carter, Alexander Coones, Charlotte Daigle, Jonathan Lumsden, Savannah Smith, Dustin Stitt, and Shawnda Thomas, all of Oak Ridge.
• Lauren Stewart of Oak Ridge graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in materials science and engineering (MS) and chemical engineering (BS).
