Clinton, Norris, Oak Ridge offer frightfully fun events for kids

  • Costumed kids and families flocked to Oak Ridge’s A.K. Bissell Park for the 41st annual Children’s Halloween Party Friday, Oct. 27. Booths from many organizations including Oak Ridge’s governmental departments lined the park’s busy trail as the evening light dimmed. They provided activities and candy for visitors and had themes ranging from Dungeons and Dragons and Scooby-Doo to alien autopsy and haunted graveyards. Just beyond the booths a hayride circled another area of the park. The event also featured a Barbie-themed dance party and a pumpkin patch. - G Chambers Williams III
