Reazer returns to lead Young Life open house planned for Jan. 15

Bill Reazer is the new senior area developer for Young Life in Anderson County.

Reazer was the area director in 2006. The past eight years, he has been working to develop Young Life’s impact on colleget students in Missouri.

In his return to Anderson County, he will lead a team including two staff, a leadership committee and volunteers who are committed to serving students at the high schools.

Young Life is mainly a volunteer-led organization. Through weekly meetings called “club,” small groups, camp excursions, and one-on-one time with kids, Young Life leaders build unconditional relationships with teenagers and model God’s love.

For more than 25 years, volunteer Young Life leaders have been at work with young people in Anderson County, walking alongside them and helping them navigate the turbulent adolescent years.

“We are set to develop our ability to reach students within this community for years to come,” said Alex Billings, a Young Life representative for Anderson County. “We are looking for more adults who care about kids to join us in this effort.”

“If you were involved with Young Life as a middle school or high school student, you experienced how Young Life was made just for you,” he said. “It still is. If you want to help kids in your town discover fun, purpose and gospel-centered hope through authentic friendships with caring adults, we have a place for you. Contact the organization at info@andersoncounty.younglife.org or call 865-272-8329.

Young Life will have an open house Jan. 15 at 23 E. Tennessee Avenue in Oak Ridge from 5-8 p.m.
