Rogers, Waters sign with Roane State

Roane State Community College will field a women’s soccer team for the first time in 2024.

The Lady Raiders will begin competing in the fall and they’ll be coached by former Lady Wildcats Coach Donnie Green.

Green guided Oak Ridge to the 2023 Region 2-AAA Tournament, where it lost to eventual Class AAA state champion Bearden, which won a third consecutive state title.

Green took the Roane State job in 2023 and has been busy on the recruiting trail.

He recently signed two area players, who were already enrolled at Roane State.

Forward Chloe Rogers and defender Josslin Watters, both current freshmen, will play for the Lady Raiders next season.

They will have two years of athletic eligibility.

Rogers, a forward and 2023 graduate of Oak Ridge High School, played for the Lady Wildcats under Green.

Watters is a defender who hails from Clinton. She graduated from Knoxville Apostolic School in 2023.
