PATRICIA EYVONNE STURDIVANT

Patricia Eyvonne Sturdivant, 78, Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at her home following a period of declining health.

The daughter of the late Theodore and Mildred Colbertson Sturdivant, she was born in Marshville, N.C., Jan. 6, 1945, and was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant, and a devoted member of the First Apostolic Church of Knoxville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: Husband, James Henry Rorie; sister, Carolyn Smith; brothers, Steve and Doug Sturdivant.

Patricia is survived by: Sons, Martianez Rorie and wife Robbee of Nashville, and Shelly Rorie of Memphis; daughter Philippia Hardin and husband Alvin of Powell; brother, Timothy Sturdivant of North Carolina; sister, Waverly Bush and husband Searcey of Tallahassee, Fla.; grandchildren, Kathryn Kataria and husband Karan, Malakhi Rorie; great-grandchild, Kiaan Kataria; and other relatives and friends.

The Sturdivant family will visit with friends from 5 p.m. until time of the Ccelebration of life service at 7 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2023, at the First Apostolic Church in Knoxville, with Pastor Mark McCool and Bishop Billy McCool officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Lynch-Bethel Cemetery.

Jones Mortuary, LLC of Clinton is serving the family of Patricia Eyvonne Sturdivant.
