Robert Michael (Mike) Slone
Robert Michael (Mike) Slone of Clinton passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026, while in the care of the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was 75 years young.
He was born Oct. 19, 1950, in Benham, Kentucky. He was of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where he earned a degree in English.
He worked as a nuclear industry recruiter. Mike enjoyed golf and was a devoted fan of University of Kentucky athletics and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was known for his quick wit and sense of humor, and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ezra Donald Slone; mother, Barbara Dee “Susie” Slone; and brother, Jeffrey Norman Slone.
He is survived by his brothers, Timothy Kevin Slone (Kimberly) and Patrick Donald Slone (adopted family Carmen, Luke, Brett and Morgan); sister-in-law, Sam Slone; nephews, Thomas Brewer (Cecelia), Bryan and Matthew (Jessica); nieces, Kacy (Andy) and Sarah (Chris); great-nephews, Zavier Matthew, Tyron Ezra, Hunter, Rory, Kyle and Karl; and great-nieces, Gabriella Reece and Aurora.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a local Shriners foundation.
