Marissa Nichol McCormick, 35, of Knoxville passed away June 6, 2026. She was born July 8, 1990, and lived a life full of compassion and selflessness, leaving an impact on her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe and Stella McCormick and Gene Giles.

Marissa is survived by her daughter, Avery McCormick; parents, Danny and Teona McCormick and Tawana and Jon Byron; sister, Danielle and Alex Foster; grandmother, Charmaine Giles; nephew, Henley Foster; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2026. The funeral followed at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Woodhaven Memorial Cemetery.
