Linda Roberts Moore
Linda Roberts Moore passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on June 27, 2026. She was 83.
Born Oct. 6, 1942, in Chicago, Linda spent her childhood in nearby Wheaton, Illinois, where she developed the strong values, sense of humor and warmth that defined her throughout her life. She graduated from Ball State University with a degree in medical technology.
Linda began her career as a laboratory technician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and later worked in cytogenetics research at Oak Ridge Associated Universities. She took great pride in contributing to work that helped improve the lives of others.
Linda found joy in life’s everyday pleasures. She loved movies and collecting antiques, copper pieces and paperweights. Whether enjoying a favorite film, discovering a hidden treasure in an antique shop or sharing stories over a meal, she had a gift for making ordinary moments special.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Mitchell of Ooltewah; son, Larry Dry and wife Carrie of Downers Grove, Illinois; and grandchildren, Sara and Emma Mitchell, and Alison and Lauren Dry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John K.D. Roberts and Louise Tay Roberts.
Linda will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
