Webber Vernie Jewell (Loy)
Webber Vernie Jewell (Loy), 93, of Clinton went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026.
She was a longtime member of Valley View Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Henderson Loy and Nellie Frances (Foust) Loy; husband, William Burl “Bill” Webber; sons, Donnie Cooper, Danny Cooper, Terry Cooper and Benny Cooper; daughter, Lisa (Cooper) Ezell; brothers, Linton Loy and Vintley Loy; and sisters, Macie Warwick, Irene Brown, Mervie Holbert, Thelma Loy and Evelyn Burden.
She is survived by her children, Henderson E. Cooper and wife Sherri of Jacksboro, Darlene Arnn and husband Michael of Clinton, and Larry Cooper of Clinton; sister, Elizabeth “Libby” Sherwood of Clinton; stepdaughters, Carrol Ann Webber and Karen Webber; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at Valley View Missionary Baptist Church, 1004 Old Dutch Valley Road, Clinton, with the Revs. Alan Giles and Chad Ricker officiating.
The family was honored to have David Cooper, Eliott Fountain, Joe Cooper, Daniel Sherwood, Bryan Loy and Justin Johnson serve as pallbearers, carrying with them not just the weight of a casket, but the cherished memories of a life well-lived.
