Robert “Robby” Gordon
Robert “Robby” Gordon, 86, a lifelong resident of Anderson County, passed away peacefully at his residence Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026.
Robby was born July 25, 1940, in Anderson County to Robert A. and Juanita Moser.
He graduated from Clinton High School in 1958 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Following his military service, he returned home to Anderson County, where he spent much of his life doing what he loved most — working the land and caring for his cattle on the family farm.
A longtime cattleman and farmer, Robby took great pride in the farm and the life he built there. Farming was more than an occupation; it was a way of life. He treasured the many years spent tending to his cattle, working the land and carrying on the traditions of his family farm. His deep roots in Anderson County and dedication to agriculture were an important part of who he was throughout his life.
In accordance with Robby’s wishes, there will be no formal service.
His friends and loved ones will honor his memory privately and remember a life deeply connected to family, farming and the Anderson County community he called home.
