Anna Lou Hansard, 72, Clinton, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 ,at her home in Clinton.
Anna was a lifelong member of Hinds Creek Baptist Church. She worked as a CNA for many years. As a young girl, she was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls and then became an Eastern Star. Anna loved her family. She was the life of the party and never met a stranger. Anna enjoyed life, hummingbirds, and butterflies.
She was preceded in death by: Father, Fred Beets; and in-laws, Harley and Mary Hansard.
She is survived by: Husband of 55 years, Ronnie Hansard; mother, Helen Humphrey; daughters, Emma Nuchols and husband Eddie, Debbie Moore and husband Rodney, Rhonda Williams and husband Mike, Donna Harrington, and Valerie Wilcox and husband Larry; grandchildren, Stephanie Reynolds and husband Josh, Wesley Hansard and wife Tracy, Travis Moore and wife Nichole, Zachary Moore, Kelsey Hansard Smith and husband Earl, Abigail Nuchols, Molly Williams, Katie Nuchols, Spencer Wilcox, Aaron Harrington, and Ryan Wilcox; great-grandchildren, Luke Reynolds, Layla Reynolds, Levi Moore, and Lincoln Moore; sister, Mary Helen McNair(Danie); brother, Arnold Beets (Nancy); sisters-in-law, Billie Sue Hansard Cooper and Johnnie Fraker (Jack).
Anna’s family received friends from 6 – 8 pm Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Jones Mortuary in Clinton, with her funeral service immediately following at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with the Rev. Scott Jones and the Rev. Kenny Sharp officiating.
Anna’s interment will be Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Sartin Cemetery in Heiskell.

Sue Stokes Kitts, 73, Lafollette, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Lafollette Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Oct. 2, 1943, to the late Thomas Stokes and Geneva Queener Stokes in Campbell County. She was a Christian lady and a loving wife, mother and wonderful aunt. She enjoyed working with her flowers and was an animal lover, especially the birds that she fed at her home. She took pleasure in shopping, fishing, and visiting the beach. She loved life and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by: Grandmother, Rosa Queener; and brothers, Benny and Ronnie Stokes.
She is survived by: Husband of nearly 34 years, Everett Kitts of LaFollette; daughter, Penny Sullivan of Clinton; sister, Brenda Jordan of LaFollette; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Rocky Top.

Dennis Earl Sharna, 75, Andersonville, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Dennis retired from Y-12 National Security Complex as a Facilities Services Supervisor after 40 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Throughout his life he loved traveling, and had a talent for home remodeling projects.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dan Sharna, and mother, Erlene Kelsey.
He is survived by: Wife, Linda Sharna of Andersonville; daughter, Sandra and husband Richard Groves of Knoxville; stepdaughter, Angie Shaver of Knoxville; stepson, Tim Shaver of Andersonville; grandchildren, Devan and wife Kelci Parrott, Logan and husband Zach Zavels; great-grandchild, Lillian Kate Parrott and one expected great grandchild; sister, Darlene and husband Mike Diem of Pawleys Island, S.C.; several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 6 – 8 p.m. 6:00 Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Norris Religious Fellowship Church with funeral services following. His graveside was at 10 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2017, at Norris Memorial Garden.

Patricia A. Woosley was born March 14, 1960. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, she went home to her Heavenly Father April 5, 2017.
She was saved at home when she was seven years old. She grew up on Perky Street in Morristown. Patricia was a true servant of God. She loved her family with all of her might even down to the last breath. She worked at TVA and Martin Marietta. She dedicated her life in homeschooling her daughter and training her up in the way she should go. Patricia’s lifelong prayer to see her daughter saved was answered at Spiritual Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a dedicated member. She loved to read and study God’s word. She enjoyed singing, being with her family and spending time with her church family.
She is survived by: Husband of 23 years, Steve Woosley; loving, devoted daughter and caregiver, Hannah Grace Woosley; sister, Cheerful Jennings, brother-in-law Tim Jennings, son, Michael Woosley; daughter-in-law, Christy Woosley; grandson, Carson Woosley; granddaughter, Raelyn Woosley; sister, Robin Hurst; brother, Jackie Hurst; sister, Kimmy Bass; and a host of family and friends.
Receiving of friends was at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2017, with funeral following at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Clifford Fraker and the Rev. Kenny Buckner officiating.
Singers were Mr. and Mrs. Brent Shoemaker and Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Mash. Her church family served as pallbearers.
The graveside service was held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
She fought a good fight and she kept the faith. Our hearts are broken but we know she is rejoicing and free from pain now.

MRS. BLANCHE MARIE MODINE BROADWELL

Mrs. Blanche Marie Modlin Broadwell, 87, passed away at her assisted living facility in Powell on April 7, 2017.
Marie is survived by: Husband of 68 years, Wallace Perry Broadwell; daughter, Alicia Kay Broadwell Porter of Clinton; and son, David Kimball Broadwell of Rochester, N.Y.; as well as four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and special friend, Hope Leab.
Kay and her husband, Wallace Porter, have two sons: Samuel Glenn and Aaron Kimball. Samuel and his wife, Susan, have two daughters: Addison and Emily, and Aaron and his wife, Lynnsey, have one daughter, Elearie.
Marie’s son, Kim, is married to Christine Wilmot, and they have a son, Gregory. Kim also has a daughter, Jessica Whitney, from a previous marriage.
Marie and Wallace raised their family in the Atlanta, Ga., area before moving to Norris in 1989. She enjoyed traveling, reading, spending time at the beach and spending time with loved ones. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, who knew her as a loving, gentle and patient soul, and a mother who would do anything for her family.
Services were held at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton at 2 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2017. The family received friends from noon – 2 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2017. Elizabeth Jane "Janie" Teno Magill, 89, Clinton, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Jane grew up and spent her life in Dutch Valley. There she was a lifelong member at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she played the piano and served as administrator for many years. She retired from the Department of Human Service in Anderson County after 30 years of service.
Preceded in death by: Parents, Doyle Teno Sr. and Bessie Hoskins Teno; brother, Doyle Thornton Teno Jr.; and cousin, Kathy Hoskins.
She is survived by:
Husband, Kenneth D. Magill; neice, Becky Gilbert and husband Phil; nephew, Trippy Teno and wife Karen; great-nieces and nephews, William Teno, Leah Teno, Andrew Teno, Sam Teno and Chandler Gilbert; cousins, Dudley Bostic and husband Jenks, Mollie Scarbrough and husband Rick, Sheree Hoskins; sisters-in-law, Mary Magill and Marie Walls; special friend and caregivers, Mary Shirey and husband Richard; a host of other family members and friends.

Doris Ann Stooksbury, 75, Andersonville, peacefully passed away Friday morning, March 31, 2017, at her home.
She joins her son Philip (Phil) Smiddy ,who passed away in 2004.
Doris was preceded in death by: Parents, Marvin and Dorothy Davis; and grandson, David Spoon.
She is survived by: Husband, Charles; step-daughters, Pam (Greg) Crawford, Diane (Avery) Johnson; step-granddaughters, Tracie (Bruce) Schlittler, and Carrie Stooksbury.
She is also survived by: Grandchildren, Josh (Regina) Wilson, Lyndsay (Matthew) McGhee, Heather (Matthew) Carroll, Allison Crawford Baylis, Haleigh (Ryan) Miller and Jonathan Tucker; step-grandchildren, Kayla and Ty Pozza, Raymond Floyd, Nikki Kline, Anthony, Dustin, Christian and Cody Stooksbury; and great-grandchildren, Mia, Konner and Kooper Baylis, Parker and Deacon McGhee, Shelby and Dakota Carroll, and Aiden MIller.

Tony L. Hale, 81, Andersonville, passed away at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge April 1, 2017.
He was born to Milos and Dove Hale of Union County on July 21, 1935. He graduated from Horace Maynard High School with a baseball scholarship to the University of Tennessee. He transferred with a full scholarship in baseball to Lincoln Memorial University where he received his bachelor’s degree in biology/chemistry. He was enlisted in the 6th Army Veterinary Corps, serving as a chemist at the Oakland, Calif., Army terminal. He obtained his Master’s Degree plus 45 hours in education from Union College. He started his career at Big Ridge Elementary School as a teaching principal. He then came to Anderson County School system as the chemistry/biology teacher at Norris High School. While employed in the Anderson School System he was principal at Norris Elementary, Glen Alpine Junior High, and Norris High School, finishing with 20 years as Principal at Clinton Senior High School. He retired with a total of 37 years in Education.
Preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by: Wife of 59-1/2 years, Kate Burnside Hale; son, Scott Hale (Cindy); daughter, Lora Treece (Danny); grandchildren, Chad Hale (Nikki), Cayci Perry (Daniel). Jonathan Treece; great-grandchildren, Bryzen and Brylee Hale; sisters, Katherine Riddle (Glen), Rita Coker of Maryville; brother and sister-in-law, Mo and Patty Burnside of Middlesboro, Ky.; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. His funeral service will follow in the chapel with the Rev. Lance Hitt officiating. His burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2017, at Norris Memorial Garden.
