Paul D. Rogers

Paul D. Rogers, 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2024. Paul was born on May 9, 1951, in Coalfield, TN to Johnny and Carrie Rogers. He grew up in Coalfield and attended Mt. Carmel Presbyterian. He was a resident of Clinton, Tn community for 32 years. Paul retired after 36 years of service at ORNL UT-Battelle as an Electrician. He was a member of IBEW #760.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Johnny D. and Carrie J. (Jackson) Rogers. sister Carol Jones and brother Lincoln Rogers.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Betty J. (Wright) Rogers; sister, Mary and husband Earl Stewart; special aunt, Virginia Jones; special sons, James Sanders and wife Tara, Gary Kesterson and Marcia; grandsons, Dexter Rogers and wife Whitney, Dustin Rogers, and wife Taylor; one great-grandson, Bradon; two great-granddaughters, Laklynn and Ellie; nephew, Jason Rogers and wife Angie; brother-in-law, Gary and Janet Wright; sister-in-law, Kay Rummage; many special nieces and nephews, he loved them all very dearly like his own; special niece, Leighanne Rhea; and special nephew, Warren Rummage and Susie.
The family would like to thank all his doctors, nurses and everyone involved in his care at Clinch River Home Health.
The family received friends on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 1-3 p.m., The funeral was held at 3 p.m. and the burial followed at Grandview Memorial Garden with the Rev. Jamie Nelson and the Rev. Donnie Moore officiating.

Isaiah Gregory Hill

Isaiah Gregory Hill, age 25 of Clinton, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024.
In spite of Isaiah’s mental health issues, he was extremely intelligent. He was a cultural humanitarian, an amazing writer and was writing a book. He was an avid reader and had a keen interest in historical and political literature. He had a artistic and creative mind. He was an animal lover and he loved his dog Iggy and his cat Gublin.
He was born on July 3, 1998. He was the son of the late Stacy Lou Hill. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hubert Edward Bell; great-grandparents, Carl and Helen McMahan, Luther and Lizzie May Bell, and Claude E. and Esther Turner.
Isaiah is survived by his sister, Hannah Hill; grandparents, who raised him, Billy and Patty McMahan; great-grandmother, Esther Dykes, who also helped raise him; great-grandparents, Mack and Janie Hill; biological father, Dion Chandler; aunt and uncle, Michael and Nicole Hill; cousins, Logan and Brittan hill; best friend ever, Caleb Arwood; special friends, Alex Durbin and C.J. Braden; family member Leeshaun Taylor, and other relatives and friends.
The Hill Family will receive friends on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. in the Jones Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m.
The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 1 p.m. in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, Andersonville, Tennessee.

Larry “Frog” Winfred Bullock

Larry “Frog” Winfred Bullock, 71, of Clinton, TN, passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was an Army veteran and a member of South Clinton Baptist Church. He worked as a pipefitter/pipe welder until his retirement. Larry was a fun loving person who always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. In addition to spending time with family and friends, he enjoyed NASCAR, camping, and his annual fishing trip to Tellico, and was always hunting for a bargain at the Frog Mart.
He was preceded in death by his father; Earl Bullock, mother; Jessie W. Hamilton, son; Nathan W. Bullock, sisters; Ann Metier and Linda White all of Clinton.
Larry “Frog” Bullock is survived by his wife; Donna B. Bullock, daughter; Karin (Anthony) M. Partin, son; Vince Bullock, three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends.
We would like to extend thanks to Ed Wilson, Everett McNabb and Will Cardwell for their friendship and support over the years.

Eloise Grace Rutherford Irwin

Eloise Grace Rutherford Irwin, age 97, left her earthly home in Heiskell and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024. She was a long-time member of Sinking Springs United Methodist Church. She was born April 5, 1926 in Andersonville, Tennessee to the late Hugh and Talitha Rutherford. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Irwin; son-in-law, John Brummett; ten brothers and other family members.
She is survived by her children, Janet Brummett, Billy Irwin and wife Sandy, and Linda Barton and husband Bob; grandchildren, Marty Brummett and wife Dawn, Toby Brummett and fiancé Misty, Michelle Garner and husband Anthony, Brad Irwin, Gail Sickau and husband Rich, Brent Irwin and wife Andrea, Lori Schlotfeldt and husband Seth, Kyle Barton and wife Julie, and Cory Barton and wife Nicole; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister-in-law, Ann Rutherford; brother-in-law, Troy Lawson; many nieces and nephews; special friend that was like a son, Randy Moore and his family.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. Her service will follow in the chapel with Rev. Allen Giles officiating. Her graveside will be at 11 a.m., Friday at Sinking Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Brandon Berg officiating. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Clyde Cook, Jr.

Clyde Cook Jr., 80, of Andersonville TN went home to be with Jesus on Feb. 22, 2024.
Clyde was born Sep. 20, 1943, in Tazwell, TN to Clyde and Ely Cook. He attended schools in Clinton and Powell Tennessee. He then served overseas in the army until being honorably discharged in 1964. He returned to Powell, TN where he met and married Betty Jeffers in 1965. She sang Chuck Berry’s “I Found My Thrill on Blueberry Hill" for years as that was the Cook family address.
Clyde began a career working for Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He later retired as an analytic chemist and pursued many other interests. Never one to sit still, Clyde pursued such hobbies as ostrich farming, house flipping, fishing, gardening, and orchard planting. He was an avid reader, spending numerous hours studying and seeking to understand God’s word. He studied gunsmithing, opened his own business and became known as “the Gun Doctor”. He never stopped dreaming big dreams and believing in his ability to achieve greatness.
Clyde was the proud father of five daughters and grandfather to ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded to heaven by his beloved daughter Deborah Cook. He is survived by his wife Betty Cook, daughters Tammy Turnbill (Rick), Elena Dotson (Dennis), Sherry Mohr (Jeff), Esther Brady (Bryan); grandchildren Isaac Mohr (Meagan), Hannah Kincaid (Brandon), Jacob Turnbill, Caleb Mohr (Caitlin), Elijah Mohr (Rachel), Victoria Mohr (Seth), Joshua Turnbill, Jeremiah Turnbill, Nehemiah Brady, and Reesa Brady; great-grandchildren Theo Kincaid, Darcy Kincaid, Harrison Mohr, Max Mohr, Elise Baker; and sisters Jean Pope and Carolyn Wolfenbarger.
Services will be held at Holly Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton, Tennessee. Visitation is Monday, Feb. 26, 5-7 p.m., followed by the service at 7 p.m.. Graveside service will be at Norris Memorial Garden with full military honors Tuesday at 11 a.m.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Frances Loving.
She was predeceased by her mother and father Georgia and Dan Ausmus, sister Diane Ausmus, daughter Melissa Loving and granddaughter Trinity Bean.
She leaves to mourn her grandson and granddaughter Tristan Loving and Kali Morris , brother John Ausmus and wife, Dorothy, and niece Laura Burd.
Plus her other “grandchildren” and special friends, Dustin Bunch, Emily Gas, Josh Stevens, Dayton Burleson, McKinsey Williams, Kim and Scott Williams and Remi Burleson.
A graveside service was held at Oak Ridge Memorial Park on Feb. 23, 2024.
Ronald Edward Merritt

Ronald Edward Merritt, 87, of Strawberry Plains went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 23, 2024.
He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Ronald was also owner/operator of Ronald Merritt Garage Doors and a proud United States Army veteran.
To greet Ronald at the gates of Heaven were his wife, Lorene Merritt; parents, Clarence and Georgia Merritt; brother and sister-in-law, Arliss and Shirley Merritt; and brother-in-law, Gordon Massey.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his son, Randy (Heather) Merritt; brother, Phillip (Marvin) Merritt, sister-in-law, Lois Massey; and Todd Hancock.

James Dwight VanHuss, 51 of Clinton, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, following a period of declining health.
Born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, on Sept. 21, 1972, he was the son of the late Edith VanHuss.
He is survived by his brother Mark VanHuss and his wife Melissa of Clinton, Tennessee, and a nephew, Cody VanHuss, also of Clinton.
