Larry Grant Edmonds, 69, Clinton, passed away Sunday morning, June 11, 2017, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Born Oct. 16, 1947, in Anderson County to Virgil and Ruby Edmonds, Larry worked for Y-12 and the City of Oak Ridge as a fireman for more than 20 years. He was a proud Army veteran who enjoyed gathering with fellow veterans at the Anderson County monthly Veterans’ breakfast. His greatest joy was being a devoted and loved “Papaw” to his grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by: Wife of 43 years, Teresa Maples Edmonds; daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Scott Mullens and Krissy and Chris Bishop, both of Clinton; grandchildren, Halie Melton and husband Eric, Brianna White, Zachary White, Sara Bishop and Eli Bishop; great-grandchildren, Natalie Ingram and Grant Melton; and brother, Kyle Edmonds of Houston, Texas.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. A service will follow at 7 pm.
Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017, at the funeral home and proceed to Maples Cemetery on Edmonds Cemetery Road for interment at 11 a.m., where Larry will be honored with full military honors.

John William Condon Sr., 72, Powell, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.
John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. John was a Vietnam veteran and served nine years in U.S. Navy. He was very proud of his children graduating from high school. John was proud of his son, Jerry, for his service in the Navy and for serving on the same ship as him, the U.S.S. Juneau, proud of his daughter, Michelle, for her service in the U.S. Army, and proud of his son, John Jr., for his hard work ethic and cherished their long talks about baseball. John enjoyed playing golf with his friends around the world on Play Station Live.
John was preceded in death by: Parents, Kenneth and Elanore Condon; and niece, Teresa Condon.
John is survived by: Wife, Judy Condon of Powell; sons, Jerry Condon and wife Kim of Maryville, and John Condon Jr. of Louisville; daughter, Michelle Dougherty and husband Brian of New Market; sister, Sherry Condon of Hesperia, Calif.; grandchildren, Chase Oothoudt, two stepgrandchildren, Travis and Trevor Dougherty; and a host of other relatives and friends.
John’s family will receive his friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Jones Mortuary in Clinton. John’s memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017, in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with the Navy Chaplain Gary Leach and Jerry Condon officiating with full military honors.

Jeannine Genevieve Cooper, 91, Clinton, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017.
She was born in Paris, France, to Michel and Suzanne Mermet Feb. 16, 1926. She attended Clinton Church of God.
She is preceded in death by: Parents; husband, Vernon W. Cooper; and daughter, Connie Cooper Tipton.
She is survived by: Daughter, Dotty Cooper of Clinton; grandchildren, Suzanne Flatford and husband Roger, Laura Guyton and husband Camden, and Jason Tipton and wife Susan; eight great-grandchildren; nieces, Sandy Bogle and Mary Alice Cox; and nephews, Jack Cooper and Eddie McGhee.
The family received friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with service following at 8 p.m. The Rev. Curtis Akers officiated. Family and friends meet at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Sunset Cemetery for a graveside service at 2 p.m.

Margaret Hardin Dupee, 73, Clinton, went home to be with the Lord Monday, June 5, 2017, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Margaret was preceded in death by: Parents, Clifton and Nell Hardin; husband, the Rev. Lenville Dupee; brother, Don Hardin; sister, Carol Hardin Ayers; and grandson, Danny Dupee Jr.
Margaret is survived by: Sons, Perry Dupree, Randy Dupree, Danny Dupee Sr.; daughters, Becky Smith and husband Quinton, Patrica Kitts and husband Steve; brothers, Stanley Hardin, Charles Hardin; sisters: Betty Ann Hardin Clark, Mary Joyce Hardin Sutton, Laura Faye Hardin Fleming, Martha Jean Hardin Bailey, and Kathryn Dianne Hardin Resavy; grandchildren, Jessica Patterson and husband Curtis, Emily Ingram and husband Brandon, Faith Dupree, Amy Dupee, Cameron Dupree, Addison Dupree; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Dorotha Bell Hill Turner, 86, Heiskell, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017, at her home in Heiskell.
Dorotha was born Aug. 12, 1930, to the late William and Hounta Bell.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by: Husband, Ruba Hill; two sons; three daughters; and several brothers, and sisters.
Dorotha is survived by: Son, Lionel Hill and wife Deborah of Halls; daughters, Shilda Sands and husband Johnny of Maynardville, Charlotte Ogle of Jefferson County, Gilda Morris and husband Frank of Heiskell, and Ina Page of Ohio; 25 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Dorotha’s family and friends will met for a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Andersonville.

Gloria Vowell, 53, Clinton, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.
Gloria enjoyed outdoor activities especially going to the beach and swimming. She loved being with her family and friends and was very protective of her children.
Gloria was preceded in death by: Parents, Ulys and Manda Vowell; and son, Tyler Vowell.
Gloria is survived by: Son, Noah Jackson and his father, Freddy Jackson, of Knoxville; brother, Randy Vowell of Mountain City; sisters, Pam Nichols and husband Bill, and Sherry Rainey Stokes, all of Clinton; nieces and nephews, Jessica Lockett and husband Bryan, Pete Rainey and wife Diane, Billy Nichols and fiancé Misty, and Amanda Nichols; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Uvonnia Garrison Ridenour, 76, Andersonville, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017, at her daughter’s home in Clinton.
She enjoyed going to flea markets and buying for her grandchildren. Uvonnia loved watching her grandchildren and reading the Bible to them. She enjoyed taking care of every child in the community. Uvonnia was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist in Clinton.
Uvonnia was preceded in death by: Parents, Charles and Rebecca Garrison; husband, James Clay Ridenour; brothers, Delmar Garrison, and Kenny Garrison; two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Jordyn.

Anthony Ray Peterson passed away suddenly Thursday June 1, 2017, at the age of 47.
He was born in Chicago, Ill., but eventually made his home here in East Tennessee. Tony graduated from Rutledge High School in 1988 and soon after that enlisted in the United States Navy, completing almost eight years and serving on two tours in Iraq as a corpsman. Not too long after returning home Tony found his passion in fishing, hunting and softball. Soon after, he met his wife through softball and they spent a thrill ride like no other for the next 20 years. He resided with his wife, Rebecca Dawn Tibbs Peterson, and children, Alexus Peterson
— 17-years-old — and Madison Peterson — 19-years-old — in Caryville. Tony worked at what would’ve been 19 years at Techmer PM and made many, many memories and friends.
Tony is preceded in death by: Mother, Sandra Gail Peterson; grandmother, Nellie Jones; and Grandpa Jones.
He is survived in death by: Beloved wife, Rebecca; daughter, Alexus; son, Madison; and animals, Coco, Bella, Luna and Talula; sister, Charlotte Helton; brother, Matt “Poppy” Helton; nieces, Chantelle Goodman and Monica Goodman; nephews, Cody Goodman, Ethan Helton and Burnout Jackson; father, Ronald Peterson; sister, Jennifer Reeser; two nephews, Landon and Dylan Reeser.
He is also survived by: Great-nephew, Carter Goodman; brother, Adam Bullock and friend Jessica Lovely; special father, Larry Tibbs and wife Glenna Tibbs.
He is also survived by multiple non-blood sisters and brothers, as well, Emily and Aubrey Chapman, Tracy Fisher and Sandra Hatfield, Benji Braden, John Earl, and too many more to name.
