ELIJAH THOMAS RAY BRYANT

Elijah Thomas Ray Bryant, infant son of Audrey Greenlee and Steven Bryant, was born sleeping at 11:09 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2020, at The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.

Elijah was a fighter, weighing 1 lb., 15 ozs., and 15 inches long, had a head full of beautiful hair, long legs and long fingers and toes. He was surrounded in love in the beginning, and also at his end. Elijah is deeply loved by his family, and they will hold him again in Heaven. Elijah will always remain his parents precious baby boy both on Earth and in Heaven.

Elijah's family include: Parents, Audrey Greenlee and Steven Bryant; grandparents, Lisa and Lea Mashburn, Linda and Teddy Bryant, Joey and Kim Greenlee; great-grandparents, Connie and Harlan Nolan, Mary Grubb, Karen Heidel, Jane Mashburn; aunt's and uncles, Ashley Greenlee (Averi), Dwayne Bryant (Shannon, Brandon, Bentley Ashley), and Josh Bryant (Magon, Peyton, Braxton), Cory Bryant (Ashli, Xavier, Zayne), Sierra Bryant (Christian, Zahara), Mike Nolan (Debbie), Gary Nolan (Barbara).

Elijah was welcomed into Heaven by family and friends who have passed before him, and is in the precious arms of Jesus.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the March of Dimes in Elijah's memory.

LUCILE HUCKABY

Lucile Huckaby, 86, Clinton, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020, at her residence.

Lucile was born Nov. 24, 1933, in Anderson County to the late Everett and Grace Miles Huckaby. Lucile was a member of Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church and of the Salvation Army.

She loved the “Andy Griffith Show,” flowers, holidays, going to church, and children, especially her grandkids.

In addition to her parents, Lucile was preceded in death by her brothers, Jesse and Charles Huckaby.

Survivors: Daughter, Mary Ann Phillips of Clinton; brother, Wayne and Carol Huckaby of Oak Ridge; grandchildren; Angel Long and children Christopher, Maddalynn, and Matthew Henson of Turtle Town; step-granddaughters, Amanda and Tim Smith, Carrie and Robert McGar; special friends, Sharon and Jake Antrican, Sandra Ellis; and a host of other step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

The family would like to extend a Special Thank You to the University of Tennessee Hospice Preferred Care, especially to Tina, Greg, Mary, and Amanda for their loving care and support.

Visitation will be from 10- 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.

A graveside service will follow the funeral at the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Powell.

MELISSA ANN BARBER

Melissa Ann Barber, 54, Rocky Top, passed from this life to her Heavenly home July 25, 2020.

She was a beloved mother, daughter, and sister.

She was preceded in death by: Father, James Golden Sr.; and daughter, Masheeba Starr Barber.

She is survived by and will be greatly missed by: Mother, Georgia Golden of Briceville; loving daughter, Margo A. Oden and spouse Robin Oden; fiancé, Darrell Stocks; sisters, Angie Bunch, Wendy Golden; and brother, Robby Golden; six loving grandchildren; several nieces and nephews with extended family and numerous friends; including sisters by bond, Tina Ward and Nina Patterson.

A memorial service took place at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Rocky Top.

RALPH E. DANIELS

Ralph E. Daniels, 62, Briceville, passed away Friday, July 24, 2020, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center of Knoxville.

He was born Oct. 6, 1957, to Harvey Denton and Hattie Vaudia Norrod Daniels of Clinton.

Ralph was a devoted, faithful husband and father. cherished by his family. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren, cooking, and helping others.

He was a firefighter and board member of Briceville Volunteer Fire Department. Ralph never met a stranger and made a friend to all he met. He was an unwavering Vols fan. Contrary to popular belief, he did not suffer a heart attack when the Vols lost their last football game.

He was preceded in death by: Parents; brothers, Jackie, Roy, Arnold, Doug and Donnie Daniels; sisters, Trula Miles, JoAnn Webber, Daisy Turner and Dimple Trail.

He is survived by: Loving Wife of 41 years, Katherine; son, Michael Shannon and Wife Ashley of Clinton; daughters, Sherry Henderson and Husband Travis of Oak Ridge, Shamicca Phillips and Husband John of Briceville; brothers, David Daniels of Oak Ridge, Darris Daniels and Wife Marie of Briceville; sisters, Patsy Jarnigan and Husband Neil of Clinton, Kathy Burris of Briceville, Katie Fox and Husband Lanny of Norris; grandchildren, Josiah and Levi Daniels, Samantha, Katherine, Clyde “Mack”, and Sarah Beth Delk, Thomas, Amrynn and Jaxson Henderson, Jaelyn, Hayden and Gracelyn Phillips.

He has a host of nieces and nephews who all cherished and loved their Uncle Ralph.

The world is a better place because of Ralph. He will truly be missed.

HAROLD ‘DUKE’ FRANCES BOURGEOIS

Harold “Duke” Frances Bourgeois, 71, Blaine, passed away July 24, 2020, at his residence.

He was born to Arthur Adrian and June Ferdinand Bourgeois on Jan. 1, 1949, in Burlington, Vt. Harold was an aerospace engineer and he loved playing the drums.

He is survived by: Wife of 25 years, Beverly Kesterson of Blaine; sons, Benny Lucas of Greenboro, N.C.; daughters, Jennifer Bourgeois of California, Lisa Vonbush of California, Carol Monore of Anderson County, Candy Metcalf of Claxton; brother, Arthur Michael Bourgeois; sisters, Jacquline Greene, June Terkoski, Judith Lenoard; nine grandchildren; two reat-grandchildren; a host of family, friends, and relatives.

THOMAS VOWELL

Thomas Vowell, 73, Rocky Top, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at his home.

He was born Aug. 4, 1946, in Lake City to Thomas Sherman and Bessie Foust Vowell.

Thomas was a carpenter for the Local 50 Carpenters Union. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a member of Guiding Star Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: Siblings, Glenn Foust, Retha Phillips, Ulys Vowell, Eva Disney, Jean Vowell; and great-grandchild, Logan Leinart.

He is survived by: Wife of 54 years, Phyllis Vowell; children, Tammy and Billy Simpson, Jerry Vowell and Deana, Daniel Vowell and Amanda; siblings, Jimmy Vowell and wife Janice, Mary Cox and husband J.C., and Sarah Carroll; grandchildren, Joshua and wife Brandi, Jeremiah, Cody and wife Katrina, Christopher and wife Kayla, Andrew, Bryson, Victoria and husband William, Betheny, Lyssa; great-grandchildren, Ace, Walker, Luke, Willow, and Layla; loving dog, Scooby; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

The family received friends from 5–7 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2020, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Rocky Top with the funeral following at 7 p.m.

Family and friends wishing to attend his graveside service met at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2020, and traveled in funeral procession to his burial at his home for a 2 p.m. interment.

TINA MICHELLE BEAN SELLERS

Tina Michelle Bean Sellers, 49, Rocky Top, passed from this life to her heavenly home July 22, 2020.

Tina was of the Baptist faith. She was a beloved mother, daughter and sister.

She was preceded in death by: Mother, Monie Bean.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by: Children, Jonathan Sellers and Robin Sellers; father, Jackie Ray Bean (Jackie); brothers, Jackie Ray Bean Jr.(Reeya), Jeff Bean (Janet) and Homer Bean (Christina); extended family and numerous friends.

The family received friends from 5–7 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2020, in the chapel at Jones Mortuary.

A funeral was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at Island Home Baptist Church in Norris, with interment following at Miller Cemetery.

TIMOTHY GORDON BURMEISTER

Timothy Gordon Burmeister, 60, Clinton — our beloved brother, passed away unexpectedly at his home July 16, 2020.

We know he has been taken home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to rest safely in His arms.

He was born on July 15, 1960, in New London, Wisc., the son of Gordon and Dorothy (Boehm) Burmeister.

Tim was always looking to the heavens gazing at the stars. He loved motorcycle rides and loved teasing his sister about her Harley. He was an avid World War II buff, constantly reading and researching the subject. Tim was a good chess player and belonged to a local chess club. He challenged himself by having several games going in his home at once, his best opponent was himself.

He is survived by: Big brother, Philip Burmeister (Barbara Kain) of Davenport, Fla.; loving sister, Julie Herning (Michael) Pulaski of Wisconsin; two nephews, Seth Herning and Jacob Herning; niece, Khrys Riley (James) of Wisconsin Rapids; aunt, Mardell Boehm of New London, Wisc.; and special friends, Vicki Nowak (Joel) of Appleton, Wisc.; and his former wife and good friend, Sandra Szot of Andersonville.

He is also survived by many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Memorial service to be held at Emanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 E, Quincy St. New London, Wisc., at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020.

Family and friends may call from 9–11 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Pastor William Heiges will be officiating.

You gave no one a last farewell, nor ever said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God took you home.
