MONICA (KEESEE) COX

Monica (Keesee) Cox, Winter Garden, Fla., formerly of Claxton, born Dec. 24, 1969, and left us July 21, 2017.

She was a very loved wife, fur baby mom, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law, niece, aunt, cousin and friend. Monica fought a valiant battle with glioblastoma that began June 15, 2015.
She was a 1989 graduate of Clinton High School, pharmacy tech and merchandising rep for Vanity Fair, 1928 Jewelry, and Timex.


Monica is survived by: Her high school sweetheart, husband, and soul mate of 23 years, Lt Colonel Samuel David Cox (Ret.); fur babies, George and Zuzu Baily, Hyde, Kelso, Midgie and Liebelie, (all rescues); parents, Troy (Rusty) Keesee and Phyllis Carol (Fain) Keesee; brother, Scott Keesee; father and mother-in-law, Gary Cox and Bernice (Seivers) Cox; and very special nephew, Noah Keesee. 


Welcoming of friends and family will be from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2017, with memorial service at 7:30 p.m., in the chapel at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. 


Everyone is welcome to wear flip flops in Monica’s honor.

ROBERT (BOB) M. DEXTER

Robert (Bob) M. Dexter, 72, Clinton, passed peacefully in his sleep after a brief battle with cancer.

He anticipated an enternity in Heaven. Bob was a member of the Knoxville Area Model Railroaders club and enjoyed many happy hours modeling. He also enjoyed karaoke at Clinton Towers where he resided.

Bob was preceded in death by: Father, Harry E. Dexter; and mother Johanna N. Dexter.

He is survived by: Brother, Alfred J. Dexter and wife Rhonda of Clinton; nephew, Jared Davis and girlfriend Tiffany Todd, along with their daughters, Abby Gail and Caroline Davis of Watertown; cousin, Jan Kamen and her husband Gary, and their children and grandchildren of Knoxville; and uncle, Edward Dexter of Clifton, N.J.

Bob will be greatly missed by family and friends.

There will be a brief graveside memorial at 10 a.m. Aug. 5, 2017, at Piney Grove Baptist Church on East Wolf Valley Road, Heiskell, where Bob will be inurned.

MARGIE SUE FOUST GOODMAN

Margie Sue Foust Goodman, 74, Rocky Top, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at her residence.

Margie was born July 9, 1943, to the late Mitchell Foust and Della Mae King Foust in Anderson County. Margie was a nurse at the Lake City Hospital for 15 years. She was a member of Island Ford Baptist Church and a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed antiques and flea markets.

In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by: Brothers, Hugh “C.L.” Clowers, Carmack Foust; and sisters, Reba Jane Baker, Mary Lou Miller.

Survivors include: Husband, Lawrence Goodman of Rocky Top; son, Dwayne Goodman of Rocky Top; daughter, Beverly Henegar and Roger of Shalimar, Fla.; brother, Louis Foust of Rocky Top; sister, June Johnson of Norris; grandchildren, Brandy Lee Ann, Louis, Calup, John, and Brad Lee Goodman, Cody Baxter, Hannah, Leigh, and Trent Henegar; great-grandchildren, Jaden and Lilly Foster; nieces, Donna Gaines of Norris, Margo Taylor of Rocky Top; a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation was from 1 – 2 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.

Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Cox officiating.

Interment followed the funeral service at Oak Grove Cemetery, Friday, July 21, 2017.

CHAD EVERETT GROSS

Chad Everett Gross, 35, Clinton passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017, at his residence.

Chad, along with his brother and father, were involved with the family business in Clinton, Clinton Floor and Cabinet. Chad was a skilled woodworker and countertop fabricator. Throughout his life he loved riding dirt bikes, four-wheelers, fishing and water sports.

He was preceded in death by: Mother, Betty Smith; grandparents, Homer and Anna Gross, and Bessie Hughes; uncle, Elmer “Red” Wilshire.

He is survived by: Parents, Darrell and Leslie Gross of Clinton; brother, Darren Gross and wife Sarai of Clinton; sisters, Lesley Silvey and husband Gary of Clinton, Elizabeth Larkins of Roanoke, Va.; children, Hayden and Katelynn Gross; aunts, Teena Venable and husband Ken, Karen Gilbert and husband Roger, Carol Wilshire; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family received friends from 1 – 3 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life to follow in the chapel.

RAYMOND D. HARKLEROAD

Raymond D. Harkleroad, 88, Powell, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday July 21, 2017.

He was welcomed home by: Parents, Loranza and Daisy Harkleroad; brothers, Ralph (Buck) Harkleroad, Richard Harkleroad; sisters, Irene Harkleroad, Willie Mae Wood; wife, Dorothy Harkleroad; and son, David Ray Harkleroad.

His laugh and warm smile will be remembered by a host of friends and family including: Brother, Roy Harkleroad and wife Betty; daughter-in-law, Connie Harkleroad; grandsons, David N. Harkleroad, Matthew Ray Harkleroad and Jeff Harkleroad and wife Beth; nieces, Sue Alexie, Dorothy Bloom and husband Denny, Debbie Havaich and husband Dale, Cheryl Blevins and husband Earl, Norma Kay Stewart and husband Ronnie, and Michelle Buhl.

ARCHIE LEE HARMON SR.

Mr. Archie Lee Harmon Sr., 80, Andersonville, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at the Courtyard Senior Living in Knoxville.

He was a member of Island Ford Baptist Church and was the owner of Tops Incorporated.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Dave and Ethel Cole Harmon; brother, Carl Harmon; and sister, Helen Nelson.

He is survived by: Son, Archie Harmon Jr. and wife Gail of Andersonville; daughters, Joanne Harmon of Rocky Top, and Penny Harmon of Harriman; mother of his children, Sue Harmon; brothers, Charles Harmon and wife Izella, Omer Harmon and wife Marilyn, both of Rocky Top, and Ronnie Harmon and wife Pat of Powell; sisters, Linda Harmon, and Joan Martin, both of Rocky Top; grandchildren, Jonathan Worley, Rocky Long and Xavier Harmon; special friend, Madelyn McAfee.

The family received friends from 1 – 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Rocky Top.

Funeral service followed the visitation at 2 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Ryan Thomas officiating.

Interment followed at Island Ford Baptist Church Cemetery.

SHEILA V. RODRIGUEZ

Sheila V. Rodriguez, 58, Clinton, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at her residence.

Sheila was born on July 27, 1958, in Bridgeton, N.J., to Alvin Roger Mosley and Wilda Ann Moore Mosley. Sheila loved baking, watching singing competitions and cooking competitions, and was an avid seamstress.

Sheila was preceded in death by: Father, Alvin Roger Mosley; and brother, Roger Mosley.

Survivors: Mother, Wilda Ann Mosley of New Jersey; daughter, Angalissa and Tony Snead of Clinton; like children, Donald Orfield and Vanessa of Knoxville; brother, Richie Mosley of New Jersey; sister, Linda Beach of New Jersey; like sister, Debbie Boyd of Halls; special niece, Scherrie Caronda of New Jersey; “Nana: to Kyra and Gavin Orfield.

A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at the Faith Promise Anderson County Campus (96 Mariner Point, Clinton, TN 37716) with Pastor Robbie Dejarnett officiating.

BILLIE KIDD SEEBER

Billie Kidd Seeber, 66, Lake City, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

He was born March 29, 1951, in Anderson County to the late Blaine Seeber and Rutha Byrge Seeber. Billie was a member of Grave Hill Baptist Church in Devonia. He loved working on old cars and watching wrestling on television.

In addition to his parents, Billie was preceded in death by his brothers, Erlin “Shorty” Seeber and Early Seeber.

Survivors include: Sons, Travis Seeber of Lake City; stepsons, Michael Huckaby of Oliver Springs, Marty Huckaby of Fratersville, Roy Summers of Oak Ridge; stepdaughter, Lynn Summers of Oak Ridge; brothers, Verlin “Cotton” Seeber and Mary Sue of Lake City, Blaine Edward “Little Joe” Seeber of Greenfield, Frank Seeber of Lake City; grandchildren, Austin and Ethin Seeber; a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation was from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.

His funeral service was at 7 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Murl Phillips officiating.

Family and friends met at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Byrge Cemetery in Devonia, Tennessee for Billie’s interment.
