Norwood L.E.A.D. graduates


The Anderson County Sheriff’s Department and Anderson County Schools have partnered together for a new evidence based drug prevention program “Law Enforcement Against Drugs” (L.E.A.D.). “Too Good For Drugs” is program where a School Resource Officer visits a fourth grade classroom each week for 10 weeks. In the minth week, these fourth grade students have a poster contest on the effects of alcohol or tobacco on the body. Each first through thirdrd place winners are recognized for their efforts. Norwood Elementary School is the fourth school in Anderson County to complete the Too Good For Drugs curriculum. On Friday, March 31, the 4th grade students were recognized with L.E.A.D. certificates. Congratulations to those Norwood Elementary students. Thanks to the Anderson County Board of Education and all the school staff for their support in implementing this important program in the Anderson County Schools.
