Wandell named Chairman of county’s Operations Committee
During the Anderson County Operations Committee meeting on Monday, Sept. 11, Anderson County Commissioners on the Operations Committee voted 7-2 to nominate Tracy Wandell, Commissioner for Dist. 1, to serve as the committee’s new chairman.
Wandell replaces Tim Isbel, Dist. 4 Commissioner, whose term as Operations Committee chairman expired this month. Isbel served two terms as chairman before his term expired.
Phil Yager, Dist. 8 Commissioner, received two nominations, one from Dist. 6 Commissioner Steve Mead and the other from Dist. 1 Commissioner Tracy Wandell.
Voting for Wandell were Commissioners Mark Alderson, Phil Yager, Tim Isbel, Robert McKamey, Theresa Scott, Steve Emert, and Jerry Creasey.
Wandell is currently serving his third term as commissioner from Dist. 1, a district that encompasses Claxton and Bull Run precincts, and is chairman of two other committees, the Veterans Service Advisory Committee and the Revenue Committee.
