ACHS/KYA Summer Track & Field Program to start June 5


ACHS junior Maddy Moody took third place in the Girls 1600 Meter Run and sixth in the Girls 3200 Meter Run at the TSSAA State Track Championships last Thursday in Murfreesboro. — Submitted
The Anderson County High School/Knoxville Youth Athletics Summer Track & Field Program will run from June 5-28.

The program is open to all boys and girls ages 5-18.

Mary Kate Longmire (former ACHS track athlete and current Lincoln Memorial University distance runner) will be running the program.

Practices will be held at ACHS on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Track meets will be held on Saturdays — (June 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The fee is $44 per child with a family maximum of $112 (fee includes T-shirt, instruction, and four weeks of fun and fitness.
