Visiting Sunbright spoiled the season opener for the Norwood Middle School Jaguars with a 28-0 win last Thursday.
Offensive stats for Norwood were few but the bright spots defensively were Jacob Blackwell, who led the team with eight tackles. Riley Silk recorded seven tackles and Bo Lawson had five tackles.
The Jaguars (0-1) were scheduled to visit Wartburg Middle School on Thursday. They will visit Lake City on Aug. 30 at 6:30 p.m.

Lenoir City 8
The Norris Middle School Senators opened their season Saturday on the road with a 32-8 win over Lenoir City.
Stats were not available at press time.
The game was originally scheduled for Thursday but was postponed due to hazardous weather.
The Senators (1-0) will visit Jefferson Middle School on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Lake City Middle School will have their season opener on Thursday at Oliver Springs. Kick-off for the Lakers-Bobcats is set for 6:30 p.m.
