Paul White honored

Retiring Anderson County Sheriff Paul White was honored with a resolution, a plaque, and a day named in his honor before Monday night’s Anderson County Commission meeting. White was praised for his handling of Anderson County’s meth epidemic when he took office, and for lowering the crime rate in the county. White, in turn, said he didn’t do it alone and that County Commission supplied him wih additional manpower so that the county would no longer be called “The Meth Capitol of the South.” Picture are, from left, Commissioners Jerry White, Rick Meredith, Steve Meade, and Paul White — Ken Leinart
