ASAP is celebrating 10th anniversary in September

ASAP of Anderson is thrilled to be celebrating 10 Years of Prevention this September. ASAP’s mission is to prevent and reduce substance misuse among youth and adults in Anderson County.

Join ASAP for a 10th Anniversary Celebration and logo reveal on Tuesday, September 4th 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.at Anderson County Chamber of Commerce. In addition to the logo reveal, there will be light lunch, cake, and takeaway “swag” for attendees.

ASAP is proud to have itsvolunteers serve over 11,000 hours toward prevention since 2008.

In 10 years, Anderson County has seen an overall reduction of 53.5-percent in youth prevalence of substance use, including 57.4-percent reduction in alcohol use, 54.3-percent reduction in tobacco use, 39.8-percent reduction in marijuana use, and 64.3-percent reduction in prescription medication use.

This has been the work of numerous dedicated volunteers, partners, and the whole Anderson County community.

ASAP has continued to grow and change over the past 10 years. As part of the that growth, ASAP is excited to reveal their brand-new logo in celebration of its 10th anniversary.

ASAP’s image is changing, but their mission stays the same. They continue to value compassion, knowledge, connectedness, progress, and proactivity in order to make strides toward preventing and reducing substance misuse in their community.
