Seniors Kaylee Lawson, Annabelle Jackson, Olivia Jenkins, Madison Lambert, and Abbie Stinnett took a walk across Don W. Lockard Gymnasium, as they were honored on Monday night.

The Clinton High School Dragons Volleyball team then faced off against Sevier County Bearettes.

Led by outside hitter Abbie Stinnett, libero Annabelle Jackson, and setter Olivia Jenkins, the Lady Dragons earned a 3-1 victory over Sevier County. Stinnett is a high-powered high-flyer who racks up kills for the Lady Dragons.

Behind her are Jackson and Jenkins, who keep Clinton anchored defensively. When the duo is on the court together, Clinton is not easy to break down.

Additionally, both are also able to turn defense into offense.

Both seniors can dig and set, thus combining for most of the Lady Dragons’ assists. Clinton took the early lead over the Bearettes, winning the first set 25-19.

However, Sevier County came back to knot the contest up 1-1, taking the second set from the Lady Dragons, 16-25. Yet, Clinton would the next two sets 25-18, 25-16 and knocked off the Bearettes. The Clinton Lady Dragons will prepare for their annual ‘Pink Night’ on Thursday. Those who plan on attending are encouraged to wear pink in support of cancer awareness. This will be the Lady Dragons last regular season match before the District Tournament next week
