The extreme rise in insulin prices over the last few years — doubling between 2012 and 2016— is affecting a lot of people with diabetes. A single vial can cost $300 with insurance. Has it impacted how you treat your diabetes? Our readers told us on Facebook that Walmart carries a cheap over-the-counter insulin called Novolin, but others say it doesn’t work as well, particularly for Type 1 diabetics.
