Powell Clinch Utility District has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2019 honor by Knoxville News Sentinel. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools.

The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

Rob Neil, President of PCUD said, “I am very proud PCUD received this award. It reflects the positive culture of the company and its employees since the award is based solely on employees’ feedback. Being named a Top Workplace is a big deal — only 35 companies made this year’s list in the Knoxville area. Therefore, I am really honored and thankful for such a dedicated staff.”

PCUD is headquartered in Rocky Top, Tennessee with 66 employees and serves 16,000 natural gas customers in Anderson and Campbell Counties. In addition to providing safe, reliable natural gas, PCUD also offers sales, service and installation of natural gas appliances.
