Carter handles Clinton Middle 7-1 on the diamond

Clinton Middle hosted Carter Middle School for a league game on Wed., Sept. 11. The final score was 7-1 in favor of Carter.

Carter pulled ahead early with two runs in the first. Then both teams scored a single runner in the third. Carter sealed the game, though, with four runs in the fourth to put the final score at 7-1.

Bree McKamey walked away from the evening with a WHIP (walks plus hits per inning pitched) of 1.64, which is phenomenal in general but also on the lower end for her this season. She also managed three strikeouts and 15 first pitch strikes.

Tomi Taylor was the lead batter for Clinton with two hits for the night.
