Norris gets best of Hawks in makeup game

Clinton hosted the Norris Senators for a makeup football game on Monday, Sept. 9.

The final score was 40-20 in favor of the Senators.

Despite the lopsided final score, the game stayed close almost the whole game right to the end. It was only during the fourth quarter that Norris began to run away with the ball. In fact, Clinton started the game strong with a touchdown on their very first play.

Unfortunately, Clinton pulled a penalty for an illegal shift, which brought the touchdown back.

Senator Nick Moog continues to dominate in every game he plays, and though Clinton didn’t have an exact equivalent, they had their own standout players in Carter Nelson and Travis Jackson, both of whom scored impressive touchdowns.

Other standout Norris players included Christian Holstine, who got a sack on a third down when Clinton was at the goal line and Charlie Pressley, who scored a touchdown with seconds left on the clock at the end of the half.
