Democrats host Oct. 10 program on national health care reform

Health care was among the single most important policy topics of the 2016 mid-term elections. This has not changed as the country approaches the 2020 Presidential election.

To sort through the rhetoric about health care policy and what it might mean, the Anderson County Democratic Party has invited Dr. Carole R. Myers of the University of Tennessee College of Nursing to speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Clinton Community Center, 101 S. Hicks St., Clinton.

Myers coordinates interdisciplinary graduate health policy courses and a graduate certificate in health policy and conducts research that centers on policymaking and health services with an emphasis on access to care, TennCare, public health programs, and advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs).

Light refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m., before the program starts. For more information, contact Eric Keller at erkelleracdp@gmail.com.
