Clinton Library halts curbside pick up

In response to the new executive orders released by the governor, the Clinton Public Library suspended its curbside service as of the end of business Saturday, April 4. The service will be suspended until April 14, when the library will reevaluate the situation.

During this time, patrons will be unable to place items on hold and pick them up, with the exception of tax forms.

Tax forms and booklets for the 1040 and 1040 SR will be available for scheduled, no-contact pickup.

Library programs will shift to completely online, using the library’s social media platforms:

No fines will accrue on any items while the library is closed. Patrons should keep any items currently checked out until after April 14, or after the stay-at-home order is rescinded.

Staff will be at the library during regular business hours to answer phone calls.

The library can be contacted during regular business hours (9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday; 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday) by calling 865-457-0519, by emailing questions to clintonpubliclibrary.org, or by messaging the library staff on any of its social media platforms.

In observance of Good Friday and the Easter holiday, the library will be closed completely April 10-12. During that time, staff will not be answering phones or scheduling tax form pickups.

As always, the Clinton Public Library appreciates your support in these efforts. and encourages people to be vigilant, wash their hands, and stay safe.
