Queener competes in indoor invitational track event

Adeline Queener of Clinton competed in the Coach O Invitational indoor track event Jan. 17, at the Birmingham, Ala., Crossplex.

It was the first time Queener ran on an indoor track, and the first time the young athlete had run on a banked track.

Queener, who is a Clinton City School Blaze track athlete, was running with the Knoxville Youth Athletics while in Birmingham.

She competed in three events.

In the 60-meter events she finished fifth with a time of 10.29.

In the 200-meter event she also placed fifth with a time of 35.23.

She finished second in the 400-meter race with a time of 1:29.86.
