Home of the $1 million warehouse

10,000-square-foot structure coming to Carden Farm Park

Work was to begin this week on construction of a nearly $1 million warehouse on Carden Farm Drive in Clinton’s Carden Farm Industrial Park.

Stacy Boles, owner of an 8.4-acre tract at 1180 Carden Farm Drive, said he is erecting the 10,000-square-foot metal building to serve as a warehouse for customers of his trucking and freight businesses, Advanced Transportation and Volunteer Logistics, which are based in Clinton.

The South Clinton location, just off the Clinch River north of the Lewallen Bridge, is next to the Geon Performance Solutions plant (formerly PolyOne) and across the road from the iTOOLco industrial equipment supply company.

Boles, who also operate Lowe’s Towing and Advanced Security Systems in Clinton, said he bought the land about five years ago from the Tennessee Valley Authority. He now has a few trailers parked on the property.

“It will strictly be used as warehouse space for our customers,” Boles said. There will be no offices in the building.

Boles paid $2,926 to the city of Clinton on March 3 for a building permit for the warehouse, with his application showing construction costs of $922,200. Contractor on the permit application was listed as Deacon Land Management & Construction LLC.

Advanced Transportation, which has 45 trucks, hauls freight for Eagle Bend Manufacturing and other clients in Clinton, Boles said. Volunteer Logistics is a broker for truck freight.

The towing company, which has about 15 trucks, recently opened a new location in the Rocky Top area, he said.

“We will start on the building right away, hopefully this week,” he said Monday.
