The Middle School Mavericks had just two baseball games this week this week, first against Oak Ridge Middle School in a game that the Mavericks won 12-2, followed by a hard 19-5 loss to Farragut Middle School on Monday, April 5.

Reece Wilkerson pitched for the Mavericks against Oak Ridge, finishing with eight first-pitch strikes and six strikeouts.

Easton Beaty, A.J. Colorusso, and Blake Lowe all led the team at bat with two hits apiece, while Beaty and Colorusso, as well as Will Ridenour, scored two RBI each.

In the game against Farragut, the Mavs struggled from the start, giving up four runs in the first inning but clawing their way back across two at-bats before giving up another four runs in the third and five in the fourth and finally six in the fifth.

Beaty led the team on pitching for that game along with Michael Wright. Beaty had seven first-pitch strikes, while Wright had four. Wright also finished with two strikeouts.
