Dragons suffer two hard losses

After a tough 9-0 second loss to the Mavericks at Anderson County, the Clinton Dragons traveled to Cookeville on Thursday, April 22, for a non-league game where the team took another hard blow, losing 11-1, with three hits and three errors.

Connor Moody led the team at the plate in Cookeville with two hits, while Isaiah Slaven managed the team’s only RBI. James Cloud got a walk, and Andrew Weeks finished with two quality at-bats.

On the mound, Mac Lowe and Isaiah Slaven shared pitching duties.

Lowe managed to throw 16 first-pitch strikes and one strikeout across three innings.

Slaven managed eight first-pitch strikes and two strikeouts across two innings.
