County seeking volunteers for Beer Board and Civil Service Board

The Anderson County Board of Commissioners and the Nominating Committee are looking for citizens who would like to serve on the following volunteer committees:

Anderson County Beer Board: One member, three-year term, ending September 2024

The Beer Board was established for the purpose of licensing, regulating and controlling the transportation, storage, sale, distribution, possession, receipt and/or manufacture of beer.

Civil Service Board:

One member, three-year term, ending September 2024

In accordance with T.C.A. 8-8-404 thru 8-8-406, the Civil Service Board is composed of three members selected by the legislative body. All members of the board shall be over 18 years of age, of good moral character, citizens of the United States and the state of Tennessee, must reside in Anderson County, and they shall not hold any elected or appointed office within the county.

The deadline for consideration as a nominee will be Friday, Sept. 10, at noon.

The Nominating Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, in Room 118A of the courthouse to select the nominees.
