Norwood comes back to beat Briceville in ACES league opener

The Briceville fans were fired up for the first basketball game of the season as their team opened with a 25-19 win over Norwood.

Coach Jeremiah Wilson, Assistant Coach Johan Wilson and Assistant Coach John Phillips were all excited for this season to begin.

The Briceville Hornets basketball season was put on pause due to the pandemic last year, but the team is ready this year.

Against Norwood, Briceville’s Galvin Duggar got the first tipoff and BES was the first to score.

Norwood swooped back and scored a three-pointer.

Briceville made a six- point run to end the first half.

In the third quarter Briceville was the first to score, to lead 10 - 6.

With two lead changes in the third quarter Briceville pulled ahead 14-11.

The Hornets’ next game is noon Saturday against Dutch Valley.
