Pelizzari joins District Attorney’s Office

District Attorney General Dave Clark has announced Brandon Pelizzari will be joining the District Attorney General’s Office in Anderson County (Clinton) beginning Dec. 1 in the role of assistant district attorney general.

“Brandon is an experienced attorney and prosecutor,” Clark said.

“I am thrilled to add his experience and talent to the office.”

Pelizzari joins the Clinton office after having been a DUI prosecutor in the 8th Judicial District — mostly assigned to Campbell County for the past several years.

“In addition to his professional skills, Brandon brings familiarity with our community,” Clark said. “As a native Anderson Countian who lives in our community, he will literally be coming home.”

Following a brief orientation period, Pelizarri is expected to be prosecuting all types of criminal offenses in the General Sessions courts located in Anderson County.

Pelizzari is originally from Clinton, and is an alumnus of Clinton High School.

He is the son of Barry and Sharon Pelizzari.

He attended Middle Tennessee State University for his undergraduate studies and received his doctorate degree from Nashville School of Law.

Pelizzari previously practiced privately in Oak Ridge and then prosecuted for the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services in its Clinton office before becoming a prosecutor in the 8th Judicial District.

He is married to Carla Pelizzari. The couple has two children: Joli and Jayson.

“It is truly an honor to come home and serve the 7th Judicial District and be mentored by my friend, General Clark,” Pelizzari said of his selction to become assistant district attorney general in Clinton.
