Holiday Bureau says, ‘Thank you’

The Holiday Bureau would like to thank the following businesses and individuals for their generosity this year.
These businesses provided food for our volunteers during our Christmas toy giveout: Outback, Applebee’s, Buddy’s bar-b-q, Papa John’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Chic-fil-A, Arby’s, Pizza Hut, Bojangles, McDonald’s on the Turnpike, Starbucks on the Turnpike, Brown Bag of Knoxville, and Calhoun’s on Kingston Pike, Knoxville.
The following businesses and organizations collected or purchased toys for us this year:
National Fitness members and staff, Cash Express, St. Therese Catholic Church, Alignment Chiropractic, and The Episcopal School of Knoxville, 1st Grade Class, for a large U-Haul truck of toys they collected
Many individuals also donated new and used toys and non-perishable food to us this year, for which we are very thankful.
We would also like to thank Anita Alcorn for dressing 100 Barbie dolls to be given to our children this year, and Kara and Shirley of Knoxville for new toys for older children.
Exceptional volunteers: ORAU employees, city of Oak Ridge Recreation Department employees, and CNS-Y-12. We would also like to thank the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department.
Monetary donations were given by Food City Corp., Faith Lutheran Church, Atkins (Isotek) Corp., First Presbyterian Church, Cumberland Presbyterian Church (Ruth Circle), Kiwanis Club of Oak Ridge, Anderson County Chapter of Knoxville Area Realtors, Fidelity Charitable, Oak Ridge Area Doll Club, Raymond James Global Account, Schwab Charitable, Rotary Club, and Vanguard.
