Making a difference in the community it serves

The Clinton Police Department thanked “our generous community members and Speedway Market for making our second-annual “PACK-A-CRUISER” food drive a big success.” The event was held Saturday morning. The food will be distributed this week. The items will be used for food packages to be sent home with children when school is out (weekends, holidays, etc.). Many of these kids will not have a meal unless it is at school. CPD Chief Vaughn Becker thanked Dalton Pennington and the Smoky Mountain Bearded Villains, who dropped off large donations. CPD Sgt. Mike Jones (left), Chief Vaughn Becker and Officer Matthew Garland (not pictured) stood in the cold collecting the food.
