Is God angry with us?

EDITOR:

Is God angry with us?

He has every right to do so, for as nation and as a people, we have violated, broken and treated with contempt his Laws

As a nation, we have condoned the taking of human life through abortion. We have condoned man knowing man and woman knowing woman, made it legal for homosexual marriage, and tried to force religious institutions to recognize and provide benefits to such “marriages.”

We have persecuted those in offices of public trust and even those in private business for not violating their religious beliefs by accommodating those who choose to live such perverted, sinful lives.

Many of us, perhaps the majority of us, do not honor him and worship him as he requires.

We no longer honor the Sabbath day as he commands. He has told us to rest on the seventh day, and instead we work and play.

We use profanity and take the Lord God‘s name in vain.

Murders have risen dramatically.

Living together without benefit of marriage has become commonplace, with many churchgoing people guilty.

As citizens, we have accepted these violations and many others of God’s law.

I suspect we have come to look like Sodom in our Lord’s eyes.

I could go on and on, but that is sufficient to convict us.

If you have a mirror handy you might well look at it.

I, too, am guilty.

That is what I have been pondering as the virus continues to kill us.

He was angry at the pharaoh in ancient Egypt, and sent plague after plague to force him to set his people free

He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.

How long will He continue to be patient with us?
