Multi-talented Dragons are making an impact
Lucas Kendall is not only a Dynamic athlete on the football team, but also a state wrestling medalist.
The senior stood out in the first scrimmage, grabbing four catches for more than 170 yards.
“Being a Dragon to me means that you are part of a lifelong family,” he said.
Kendall said Keith is an amazing coach in more ways than one. “He’s made a huge impact on me by always staying on me whether I do right or wrong. When I do wrong, he is always the first one on me and when I do right, he is the first to congratulate me.”
Like the rest of the seniors, Kendall wants to win a championship but he also wants to be successful. “I just want our team to come together and be a close family and play for each other.”
“Wrestling is vital for a football player because it teaches you all of the fundamentals of tackling. It also teaches you to never give up.” The two time state qualifier said. Kendall finished in the medal last year, and is only the second wrestler to do so in school history.
“I want to be remembered as the kid who never gave up. The kid who always got it done no matter what.”
