Senior Center celebration in jeopardy

Always expect the unexpected.

A malfunctioning (otherwise known as broken) freezer ruined most of the turkeys the Office on Aging/Anderson County Senior Center had stored for its annual Thanksgiving dinner.

Basically, the center now needs 12 turkeys to be able to feed the number of seniors usually attending (about 250). The center wouldn’t mind a being gifted a ham or two, either.

The meals will be served Nov. 18 in two shifts: 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.
