Raise a glass to summer during ‘Sip of Summerfest’

Historic Downtown Clinton will host the second-annual Sip of Summerfest from 6-10 p.m. Friday (July 28).

The organization is welcoming local breweries to Clinton for a beer-tasting event.

They include Schulz Brau, Clinch River Brewery, Orange Hat, Gypsy Circus, Savannah Bee Company, Blackhorse Brewing, Gatlinburg Brewery, and Iron Forge.

This event will take place on Commerce Street in downtown Clinton.

Tickets are on sale now and include the beer tasting for four hours, plus a food ticket

Food vendors include Harvest Restaurant, Sugar Queen and Apple Blossom Café.

Music will be performed by fan favorite Morgans Mill and Low Speed Chase, a ’90s cover band that is new to Clinton.

Tickets can be purchased online for $55.20 at tinyurl.com/3bhz2s65. They will go up to $60 the day of the event.

Historic Downtown Clinton gives special thanks to presenting sponsor Matt Ooten from Ooten Law. Ooten is a graduate of Clinton High School.

Other sponsors include Hoskins Drug Store, Southmade Marketing, Y-12 Federal Credit Union, Fox Insurance, and the Anderson County Chamber Foundation.

This event serves as a fundraiser for Historic Downtown Clinton, a nonprofit organization that aims to revitalize the downtown area while preserving Clinton’s unique small-town history.
