Moody, Fisher compete in National Championship race

Two Anderson County High School cross country athletes competed at the Running Lane National Championships in Huntsville, Alabama, last Tuesday.

Ava Moody and Kaitlyn Fisher were in action over the weekend in a field of 850 runners.

Moody crossed the line in 35th place after finishing third overall at the TSSAA Class A/AA State Championships in Hendersonville recently.

Fisher posted a 244th-place finish over the weekend in Huntsville.

She placed 29th at the Tennessee State Championships during an injury-plagued high school cross country season.

She recently signed with Chattanooga.

Evelyn Prodoeh of Liberty Township, Ohio, won Saturday’s event, which had competitors from as far away as California.
