Lady Mavs split week
The Anderson County High School girls basketball team split a pair of games last week.
The Lady Mavericks (10-8 overall, 1-3 in District 4-AAA) dropped a 50-35 decision at Cumberland Gap Friday night.
The game was originally scheduled to be played at Anderson County, but was moved due to forecasted high winds in East Tennessee.
The Lady Mavericks earned their first district win of the 2023-24 campaign as they routed Gibbs, 73-47, on Tuesday, Jan. 9, at home.
ACHS’s game against Oliver Springs scheduled for Monday was canceled due to Sunday night’s snowstorm.
