Wildcats wrap up regular season with share of district title

Mikee Teasley, a junior and University of Tennessee commitment, played on his future home field and went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.
Parker Free added a double and an RBI for the Wildcats against the Hawks, who finished third in the District 4-4A standings. Oak Ridge had secured a share of the District 3-4A title.
The Wildcats earned a decisive 14-4 victory over Clinton on Thursday. Richie Ferreira went 2-for-2 with an RBI, and scored three runs. Kam Welch finished 1-for-1 with a double and an RBI, while Warren East went 1-for-1 with two runs scored and two stolen bases. Peyton Witter had a hit, three RBIs and a run scored.
Oak Ridge opened the week with an 8-7 loss to Maryville on Monday, April 21. East had a big game at the plate, going 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI. Welch went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Cy Stephens doubled and drove in a run, while Teasley collected a hit and contributed an RBI on a sacrifice fly.
The Wildcats closed out their regular season Monday with a 6-2 win over Coalfield.
