Wildcats set future paths at Lee U, Agnes Scott
Two Oak Ridge High School student-athletes have finalized their college plans.
Wildcats basketball standout Garrett Giles signed to continue his academic and athletic career at Lee University, where he plans to major in electrical engineering.
Giles, an all-district and all-region selection, helped lead Oak Ridge to an undefeated run through the District 3-4A regular-season schedule.
The Wildcats also captured the district and Region 2-4A tournament championships, and made an appearance in the Class 4A state championship game in March.
Lady Wildcats softball player Emma Hickman will continue her softball career at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia.
A four-year varsity starter at Oak Ridge, Hickman boasts a 4.036 grade-point average while excelling in a wide range of classes.
