Ward, Taylor medal in TMSAA Championships
Clinton Middle School eighth-grader Michael Ward Jr. (middle) captured a silver medal in the boys shot put at the 2025 TMSAA state track and field championships on Saturday, May 17, at Austin Peay State University.
Clinton Middle School eighth-grader Michael Ward Jr. earned a runner-up finish in the boys shot put, with a mark of 46 feet.
Norris Middle School distance standout Ella Taylor competed in both the girls 800-meter and 1,600-meter runs.
She placed third in the 1,600, crossing the finish line in 5 minutes, 36.92 seconds. Taylor took sixth-place in the 800 with a time of 2:33.55.
Jefferson Middle School’s Allison Rodabaugh finished eighth in the girls high jump, posting a leap of 4 feet, 10 inches.
The Lady Eagles’ 4x400-meter relay team placed eighth with a time of 4:24.51. Their 4x200-meter relay squad finished 13th in 1:54.86.
