ACHS cheerleaders soar at UCA camp, bring home top honors
Anderson County High School’s cheerleading squad turned heads at the Universal Cheerleaders Association camp at East Tennessee State University.
The Lady Mavericks spent four days learning new material and performing routines, capping the camp with a strong showing in the large-varsity division.
ACHS captured two first-place and two second-place finishes, adding to an already impressive list of accomplishments.
The team also collected several individual honors.
Five cheerleaders were named All Americans, and three earned the Pin It Forward award for leadership and sportsmanship.
Senior Chloe Freeman was invited to return next year as a UCA staff member.
Coach Morgan Lane said she couldn’t be prouder of her squad.
“They worked hard, supported each other and represented Anderson County in the best way possible,” she said. “I’m thrilled with everything they achieved at camp.”
